jone e. Brady

Jone E. Brady passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 27th at the age of 68. Born in

Milwaukee and lived in Waukesha throughout her childhood. In 1968 she graduated from

Waukesha High School where she was involved in various plays and was awarded Actress of

the Year in 1968.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater. She began her teaching career at

Catholic Memorial Highschool. She later worked at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, within the

hospital education department, and Waukesha County Technical College as an instructor. Jone

was a great entrepreneur, operating her successful MedSTAT Billing Service, which she

operated for over 23 years. She also continued her work at Waukesha Memorial in the

admitting/registration department up until her death. Her strong work ethic throughout her life is

an example for us all. Jone had an amazing sense of humor and was loved by all who knew

her. Even in places she worked only a short time, she made a lasting impression on her co-

workers and students.

Jone loved to travel, with many visits to Arizona where her parents once lived during the winter

months. She also had fond memories of her trips out to Las Vegas and playing the “Big Mama”

slot machine.

She is survived by her children, Angela (Andy) David, Alicia Cleveland and Robert (Mara)

Brummond and was a loving grandmother to Lavante, Andie Mae, Arliss and Heidi. Further

survived by her sister Jill (Armand) Mataresse and many life-long friends, relatives and co-

workers. Jone had a special place in her heart for her pets, especially her dog Yoshi-bon and

cat KeKe. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Nugent Brady, her mother Jean

Meier (nee Clase), and stepfather James Meier.

Visitation Saturday, August 3 rd from 9:30 AM until a Memorial Service at 11:30 AM at Evert-Luko

Funeral Home, 170 Warren Avenue, Hartland, WI 53029.
