Ruth Ann Hackbart (nee Charlesworth) went home to her heavenly Father on August 17, 2019 at the age of 85.
Ruth Ann was born December 12, 1933 in New London, Wisconsin. She received her teaching degree from Stevens Point University and was a longtime third grade teacher in Hartland. Active member of St. Charles Catholic Church and a member of the music group Playin’ Folk.
Loving wife of Roy; dear mother of Elizabeth Arsnow, Jeanne (John) Boyle, Robert (Pat) Hackbart, John (Sherry) Hackbart and Mary (Don) Scherf; loving grandmother of Eric (Betsy) Arsnow, Jordan (Hannah Bohlman) Arsnow , Jared (Lindsay) Hackbart, Melissa (Spencer) Harris, Benjamin Hackbart, Kevin Boyle, Matthew (Chelsea White) Hackbart, Jacob (Erin) Hackbart, Katherine (Danny) Kieffer, Erica Boyle, Jason Boyle, Joshua Scherf, and Madeline Scherf. Loving Great Grandmother to Dexter Arsnow, Tucker Harris, Paxton Arsnow, Sawyer Hackbart, Adeline Harris, Owen Hackbart, Cooper Kieffer, Penelope Hackbart and three additional great grandchildren coming in 2019. She is Further survived by her brother Jack (Pat) Charlesworth, brother-in law John Rodgers, sister-in-law Shirley Ziegler and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Greg and Lucille and her sister Mary Rodgers.
Ruth Ann in her memoirs noted “I would like to be remembered by my family as one who truly loved her family and who had much enjoyment being a wife, mother, and grandmother.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 (NOON) on Friday, August 23, 2019 at St. Charles Catholic Church 313 Circle Dr. Hartland. Visitation at church from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Final rest will be in St. Charles Cemetery. The family shares appreciation to VITAS Hospice Care and Shorehaven (LaBelle Wing staff). In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to VITAS Hospice or Shorehaven (LaBelle Wing).
