Kenneth Wayne Mautz, 79, of Hartland, Wis., was born to eternal life on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, surrounded by his family.

He  was born August 13, 1939, in Garrison, N.D., to Emanuel and Elsie  Mautz. He graduated from Garrison High School in 1957 and was a member  of the North Dakota National Guard.

In  1964 he married Diane Hansen in Garrison and they moved to Wisconsin.  He worked for Harnischfeger Corp. for 40 years. He was active in his  children’s various sports, both as a spectator and a coach. He was an  avid bowler; gardener, loved playing cards (especially cribbage with his  children and grandchildren); and read about 5 books a week. He always  had a joke or comic strip to share.

He  is survived by his wife of 54 years; children Scott, Pam (Mark) Glad,  Cindy (Doug) Alexander, Gregg (Melissa), and Tim; grandchildren,  Brittany, Brady and Bennett Glad, Kylee (fiancée Jim Carey) Radulovich,  and Rowen Mautz; brothers, Gerry (Eunice), Allan (Shelly) and a sister  Shirley (Leroy) Hall; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and  friends

A special thank you to the ICU nursing staff at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital.

Visitation  Monday, January 28, 2019, from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a Mass of  Christian Burial at noon at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Dr.,  Hartland.
