Robert Thomas B. Audley

Robert T. B. Audley “Bob” was called home by the Good Lord Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 at his home in Hartland, with family by his side at age 96.

Robert was born to Thomas Beech Audley II and Orah Harriet Seaborn on May 20, 1924 in the Town of Delafield. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 68 years Marion B. (Brenner) Audley.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hartland, WI and graduated from Waukesha High School and UWMadison short course in Agriculture. He was a lifelong dairy and crop farmer with his four sons on 250 acres in the Town of Delafield (now known as River Reserve Subdivision).

He served on the Town of Delafield board faithfully for 34 years, as Plan Commissioner and Chairman. He was an active member of the Waukesha County Guernsey Breeders Assoc., the County Farm Bureau and served as a director for the Federal Land Bank for southern Wisconsin. He was very active in community programs, especially those that emphasized agriculture.

Bob played on a championship Land of Rivers baseball team and for the Land of Lakes Hartland baseball league. He loved watching his boys play Arrowhead football and continued to come to see his great grandsons play. He played golf with his brother and the “old timers” into his 90’s.

If given the chance, he would have chosen to be on the farm driving his tractor.

To his family, he was the most interesting, successful, giving, humble, loving man with a great sense of humor. He had dessert with every meal and lived to 96! “There is always room for dessert!”

He will be dearly missed by many, especially his children Mark (Peggy) Audley, James (Nancy) Audley, Brad Lee (Susan) Audley, daughter in-law, Marianne Audley, grandchildren Tim (Eliza) Audley, Jill (Craig) Vento, Andrew (Paige) Audley, Margaret Audley, granddaughter in-law Christina Audley, Marci (John) Rosine, Mindi Friebel, Aaron Audley, Adriane (Nick) Starnes, Angela, Amy and Alissa Audley. Robert is further survived by his brother Laverne “Ernie” (Jean) Audley, 15 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Robert was proceeded in death by his wife Marion, son Tom Audley, grandson Mitch Audley, his sisters Lenore Halverson and Harriet Davison and brother Wilfred “Banger” Audley and grandson in-law Brain Friebel.

A private family service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church. Final rest will be in the Hartland Lutheran Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
