Aileen Elizabeth Pfeiffer passed to eternal life at the age of 93 on September 24, 2023, surrounded by
her loving family.
Aileen was born on October 24, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Hattie Fleischman. During her childhood, Aileen lived in North Lake, Wisconsin. As a teenager, she attended Hartland High School. While in high school, she met Franklin “Gunk” Pfeiffer. The two
became high school sweethearts who fell in love and married on June 25, 1949. The loving young couple had five children together. Tragically, Franklin died at the age of thirty-six in a hunting accident.
After the death of her young husband, Aileen, a stay-at-home mom, became head of the household. She attended WCTI and learned various secretarial skills. Aileen then worked outside the home, raised her five children, and became a fiercely independent woman. She was able to accomplish everything she put her mind to. She instilled this same attitude into her five children, encouraging them to always work hard.
Aileen loved to watch the Green Bay Packers, Marquette College Basketball, Professional Golfing and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Aileen is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Hattie Fleishchman, her husband, Franklin Pfeiffer, her son Steven Franklin Pfeiffer, three siblings, and a great-granddaughter. Aileen is survived by 4 of her children, Sally Reiners (Richie), David Pfeiffer (Melissa), Shelly Barba (Anthony), and Amy Hertel (Joe), 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great step-grandsons.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lindengrove Nursing Home for the care they provided for their mom.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Parish, (W314 N7462 WI-83, Hartland, WI). Family and friends are invited to visit directly at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Aileen will be laid to rest next to her husband, Franklin, at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Hartland, WI.
