Bradley “Bart” Richards showed immense courage his entire life. God relieved him of his earthly burdens by calling him home on March 7th, 2022. He passed away in the company of his loving family. In the days leading up to his passing, he had a steady flow of loved ones visit him. While he couldn’t respond, his family knows he heard all the kind words spoken to him. After a reluctant introduction and resisted attempts at being matched, Bart and Lois eventually fell in love. They shared many wonderful decades together. They went on to have two children. He is survived by his wife, Lois, his daughter, Kelly, his son Kyle, Kyle’s significant other Lily and their three children, Marisol, Sofia and Cristina.
Bart Richards had an artistic as well as a mechanical mind. He could build anything and fix anything. He was often found tinkering in his garage with at least one project. He passed his love of working with hands and crafting beautiful things onto his son Kyle. His children have many fond memories of playing with tools alongside him building things from the ground up. He encouraged his children to express themselves which is how he ended up with a candy purple bedroom during Kelly’s high school years. His craftwork can be found from the custom mantle above the fireplace to the shed in his backyard and everywhere in between. He spent his life with Lois turning every house into a home.
A childhood spent at the racetrack led to an adulthood love of all things motorized. Whether it was his prized ’68 mustang, his custom pinstriped low rider Harley, his boat that he had just purchased a new trolling motor for to use on his annual boy’s fishing trip, his ATV that he loved to let the grandkids use or numerous vehicles throughout his life, he could usually be found under the hood of something. One of the ways he showed his family devotion was by fixing/maintaining every vehicle they owned. When he was taking a well-earned rest, he could often be found watching NASCAR or the Green Bay Packers.
In his later years Bart bravely battled many illnesses. While it slowed him down some he never quit. He continued to enjoy fishing both at home and abroad, trips up to the cabin, traveling around the United States and spending time with his family and dogs. Several years ago, his son Kyle found the love of his life, Lily. Her three children brought out the best in Bart. He would light up when “his girls” were coming to visit. They made him laugh and kept him vibrant.
Preceded in death by his parents, his older brother William “Scott” Richards and other beloved family members both four legged and two legged.
