Bernice Luedtke

January 12, 1930 — June 23, 2023

Bernice “Bea” Luedtke passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, June 23, 2023, with the love of her family surrounding her. She was 93.


Known to those closest to her as Mom, Grandma, Nana, and Gigi – Bernice will be forever remembered by her husband of 55 years, Rodger Luedtke, who is at eternal rest, and their children, Karen Rzepiejewski, Michael Luedtke (Shawn Benjamin) and Deborah (Brion) Gompper. She will remain in their hearts and the hearts of her 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her parents Walentina and Stanislaw Wachniak along with her 9 siblings.


Bernice was blessed with a life filled with laughter and happiness. She enjoyed the competition and friendships she made in billiard leagues and card leagues. Her career spanned over 30 years in the retail/service industry prior to retirement.


As a devoted Catholic, her faith was strong and present throughout her life.


A Visitation will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St Charles Catholic Church located at 313 Circle Drive in Hartland, Wisconsin. Following the Visitation, a Funeral Mass dedicated to the life of Bernice will begin at 1:00pm.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Charles Parish in Hartland and/or St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care in Milwaukee.
