Together with Dick, they operated Dick and Carol’s Village Inn in Pewaukee.

Upon her retirement, she had the opportunity to volunteer in additional roles at St. Charles Parish, including delivering Holy Communion to those hospitalized, lay distributor at Mass, assisting with the Funeral Luncheon Group and managing their finances. Carol and Dick were members of St. Charles Parish for more than 55 years. She also volunteered for Lake Area Free Clinic, Lake Country Caring and Kathy’s House in Wauwatosa.

Carol was also a regular blood donor, sharing the gift of life on a regular basis, donating over nine gallons of blood over the years.

She loved to travel and was always up for an adventure, whether it was a Sunday drive in the country, a cross-country family trip in the green Chevy station wagon, a weekend trip to Las Vegas or travels to Europe. Carol was also an amazing caregiver for Dick in his later years which allowed him to remain in their home until weeks before his passing.
