Constance W. "Connie" Hornburg, a beloved educator who dedicated her life to teaching young minds, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Racine, Wisconsin. She was born on July 29, 1932, in Arkansas City, Kansas, the daughter of the late Eldon and Arlene (Wolf) Blass.

Connie married John F. Welch in Navaree, Ohio. Connie and John moved to Pewaukee, WI in 1968. He preceded her in death in 1975. She married Harold Warren Hornburg in 1995. He preceded her in death in 2013.

Connie had a passion for education which she pursued diligently throughout her career. She taught 2nd and 3rd grades at Pewaukee Elementary School for many years, and served on the board at Waukesha County Technical College, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues.

After receiving her teaching certificate from Kent State University in 1955, Connie furthered her education and obtained a Bachelor's degree from Carroll College in 1969 and her Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her commitment to learning and inspiring others was evident in every aspect of her life.

Connie is survived by her three children Jeff Welch, Greg Welch, and Susan Welch. She is also survived by her two grandchildren Jarett Welch and John Welch, as well as her two great-grandchildren Sophia Welch and Amelia Welch.

Constance W. Hornburg will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy as an exceptional educator and loving family member will live on forever in the hearts of those she touched.

No services will be held. Burial will be at the Village of Hartland Cemetery.
