Donald G. Lund

Donald Gilbert Lund of Hartland, born March 9, 1936, peacefully passed away on September 30, 2023, at the age of 87.

Beloved husband of the late Karla Lund. Dear father of Betty (Mark) Muente, Linda (Mike) Docter, Amy (Gary Morgan) Lund, Dawn (Dave) Hyland, Wendy Lund, and Michael(Katie) Lund. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Douglas, James, Kyle, Ryan, and Grace.

Also survived by brothers Larry (Kathi) Lund, David (Judy) Lund, sister-in-law Diane Lund, and many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Irene Lund and brother Allan Lund.

Donald served in the United States Army from 1957-1959. Following his service in the military, he proudly worked for the Village of Chenequa highway and forestry department as well as serving on the fire department for 39 years.

He enjoyed many hobbies; gardening, collecting antique tractors, toy tractors, and Lionel trains, attending engine and toy shows, and camping with family.

Donald’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and ProHealth and UW Cancer Center staff for all the years of care and support.

Services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church/School, 1023 East Capitol Dr. Hartland, WI. Visitation from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a Service at 3:00 PM. 

Burial at the Hartland Village Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
