Douglas Schmidt

Douglas “Doug” Schmidt of West Milwaukee, Wisconsin, died Friday, June 3rd. He was 71 years old.

During his life on the family farm in the town of Merton, he enjoyed auctions, tinkering, and good science fiction movies. Doug had a giving heart and was quick to offer a life lesson. He was a loyal Falk/Rexnord employee for decades.

He is survived by his siblings: Russell (Erika) Schmidt, Joan Hunter, Glenn Schmidt, Joyce Anderson (Mike Lotzer), his extended family Angelique Rivera (daughter) and 6 grandchildren: Angel, Solimar, Chris, Nelysha, Luis and Romeo, including longtime friend Maria, and his beloved nieces and nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Alfred Schmidt, his brother Bruce, sister Arlene, and brother Garett.

The funeral service for Doug will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Evert-Luko Funeral Home (170 Warren Avenue), Hartland. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery, Milwaukee.
