Drew R Wallace

June 11, 1983 — January 16, 2022

Andrew “Drew” Richard Wallace, loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully at Oconomowoc Aurora Summit on January 16th, 2022, at the age of 38. He was surrounded by his mother, Diane, father, Gary, and wife, Rita.

Drew was born June 11th 1983, in Elkhorn, WI to Gary and Diane (Wheeler) Wallace. He had two older siblings Jennifer and Eric that he enjoyed tagging along with; even though Drew was quite a bit younger. Growing up Drew enjoyed playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. He also enjoyed taking part in 4-H from his earlier days living on the farm.

Drew attended Elkhorn High School where he excelled in track and football. He also enjoyed singing in solo ensembles as well as playing the trombone. He graduated in 2002 from high school. He attended UW Oshkosh beginning in the fall of 2002 and graduating in December of 2007. After college he attended Umpire School in Florida. Once he graduated from that program, Drew choose to reside back in Wisconsin.

Drew lived in Milwaukee where he took on different sales positions. In that time frame he met his now wife, Rita. They started dating in April 2013 and got engaged on Valentine's weekend 2015. Drew and Rita bought their first house, a fixer upper in July of 2015. If they could make it through this, they could make it through anything. They got married November 21st 2015. It was shortly after Drew took on his dream job as a regional sales manager at Nilfisk. Drew and Rita right away added to their family with a little fur baby, Winston. Drew's obsession with Winston quickly grew. A year and a half later, on March 15th 2018, Drew and Rita brought a beautiful baby boy named Marshall into this world. Drew had gotten his boy!! Between Drew and Rita's weird work schedules Drew had plenty of time to bond with Marshall where they became best friends. They sold their fixer-upper in August of 2019 and began digging their dream home in January of 2020. They moved in September of 2020. Drew always said, "He never imagined he'd have such an amazing life like this." Once settled into their dream home they brought their beautiful baby girl Stella Marian into this world on September 1st 2021.

Which now brings us to today. Drew lived an amazing life. He never settled for mediocrity, except in the Lions. He always strived for his best in work, family life, and extracurricular activities. His lawn was mowed perfectly with striping. He practiced and strived to have the best golf game...thrown clubs and all, but his favorite activity was snowmobiling. Drew looked up snowmobiles in the middle of summer and he would find the best deals. He loved it and I know he always wanted to pass that on to Marshall. Not a day will go by that we won't think about him. His contagious smile and amazing personality will live on. We love you Drew Wallace.

Drew is survived by his wife; Rita (Sprung) Wallace; children, Marshall and Stella; best K-9 friend, Winston; parents, Gary and Diane (Wheeler) Wallace; sister, Jennifer (Vance) Wallace, and their children, Brody and Josie; and brother, Eric (Joy) Wallace and their children, Cooper and Ella. Drew is further survived by his father and mother in-law, Robert and Margaret Sprung; sister and brother in-laws, Katie (Brian) Bartz, Karl (Shannon) Sprung, and Genevieve (Scott) Byrnes; and their children, Brittyn, Lakyn and Ellisyn Bartz, Nora and Sloan Sprung, and Lawson Byrnes; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relative and friends.

Drew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Sylvia Wallace; maternal grandparents, Dale and Ardis Wheeler; and Aunt Cheryle Gassel.
