Eleanor M. Schroeder

Eleanor "Ellie" M. Schroeder (nee Cibik) passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, at the age of 95. She was born on June 22, 1928, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

Eleanor was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished the simplicity and beauty of life. She found joy in baking her family's favorite sugar cookies, bird-watching, sharing meals and coffee with loved ones, and adorning herself in her beloved color, purple. Ellie's compassionate nature, gift of conversation, and deep love for animals were evident to all who knew her. Her life was filled with memorable experiences, from playing softball to working at an ammunition factory in Waukesha, WI, and traveling to destinations like Spain and Mexico. Eleanor's beautiful spirit will forever be carried on by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Michael (Mindy) Schroeder; daughter, Sandra King; grandchildren, Callum Schroeder, Ryan King, Crystal (Russell) Patterson, Kory (Michelle) King, Jason Hartung, Arian Hartung, and Shawna Hartung (Nicolas Townsend); and great-grandchildren, Liam King, Piper Patterson, Rori Patterson, Juniper Townsend, Trevor King, and Cedar Austin.  She is further survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Schroeder; son, Scott L. Hartung; and brother, Ernest Cibik.

The memory of Eleanor "Ellie" M. Schroeder will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
