Elizabeth Ann Jesion (nee Maniag), of Elm Grove, WI, entered Eternal Life on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the age of 89.
Born in Ladysmith, WI, Elizabeth graduated from Notre Dame High School in Milwaukee, WI in 1951. She was united in marriage to Valentine Frank Jesion on October 3, 1952, and they had 1 daughter, Kristin Jeannine. Learning carpentry and home-building skills from her father, Elizabeth worked for many years for a home builder and assisted with drawing up house plans eventually drawing up home plans of her own. She was passionate about traveling and visited a total of 5 out of 7 continents. Elizabeth enjoyed hosting family events, listening to classical music, and watching romance and thriller movies. She spent the past 2 decades extensively day trading and learning as much as she could about business and stocks. Over 25 years ago, Elizabeth placed a personal ad in the newspaper in search of a friend. Dale Treichel answered that ad and has been her companion since then. Elizabeth was a long-time member of St. Mary's Visitation Catholic Parish in Elm Grove, WI. Additionally, she enjoyed bringing treats to the nuns at the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Valentine Frank Jesion, parents Michael Maniag and Marion Cecelia (Rogalla) Maniag, brother Gerald Vincent Maniag, and sister Marilynn Jean (Maniag) Taylor. She is survived by long-time companion Dale Treichel of Brookfield, WI, brother Richard (the late Joan) Maniag of Houston, TX, daughter Kristin (Craig) Strom of Lake Forest, IL, and 4 grandchildren: Morgan, Annie (Dacota Sanor), Marina, and Spencer.
A visitation will take place at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish in North Lake, WI, on Wednesday, October 18th at 11:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm.
The family would like to thank Brighton Hospice - Wisconsin and Lakewood Assisted Living & Memory Care, both located in Brookfield, WI, for their assistance in providing Elizabeth and her family with care, support, and guidance over the last 6 months. In lieu of flowers, spend time with your family and/or buy a share of stock for yourself, your children, or your grandchildren.
