Eric Roland Hansen, age 50, passed away at his home in Parker, Colorado, on October 15, 2019.

Eric is survived by his parents, Lowell & Shirley Hansen, Hartland, WI, his brother Dr. Kyle (Jenna) Hansen, his niece Grace Hansen, and his two nephews, Grant and Alexander Hansen, all of Hartland, WI.

Eric was born January 24, 1969 in Madison, WI and grew up in the Hartland area attending Richmond Grade School and graduating from Arrowhead High School. Shortly after graduation, Eric joined the United States Navy where he served for six years. In the USN he graduated from nuclear school and then served aboard the USS Flasher, a Permit class nuclear attack submarine. After the decommissioning of the USS Flasher, Eric was assigned to another attack submarine, the USS Honolulu. While serving in the submarine service Eric earned the highly regarded Dolphin Wings. Eric moved to Colorado in 1999 where he enjoyed friends, fly-fishing and his career in data storage engineering and day trading. Eric was the “fun uncle” to his niece and nephews ...who will remember him with a big smile.

A Graveside Service with complete Military Honors will be held at 1:00 PM on January 24, 2020 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, WI. A Celebration of Life gathering will begin at 4:00 PM at The Ingleside Hotel, 2810 Golf Road, Waukesha, WI.
