Janet M. Landwehr

Janet Muriel Landwehr( Lunde) passed away on April 13, 2025, at her home in Hartland, WI, at age 94, with care provided by her family.

She was born October 22, 1930, in Hartland, WI, at her Grandma Wille's farmhouse to Florence and Herb Lunde of Watertown, WI. Janet grew up in Watertown on the Lunde farm west of town near the present-day high school. She loved growing up on the farm where she rode her ponies and enjoyed visits from friends and family who would often stay for the whole summer. She often said being on a farm was a great way to grow up. Janet graduated from Watertown High School in 1948, where she carried the nickname “Queenie”. In 1950 she married her husband, Richard 'Dick' Landwehr, and moved to Hartland to begin raising her family.

Janet is survived by 2 brothers, 5 children, 11 grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She will be reunited with her cherished mother Florence, father Herb, infant brother Keith and late husband of 73 years, Dick.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a service at 11:00 AM at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave, Hartland, Wisconsin, 53029.

Mom, you are loved so much and will be missed more than you know. You were a great Mom. We will take you home—back to the farm.
