Jerome Oliver Jackson of Milwaukee, Wi. peacefully went home on May 9th, Mothers Day , to be with his Mom's at the age of 84.
After 7 months of hospice care Jerome died peacefully in his own home, with his beloved wife, Sheri and family by his side.
Jerome was born December 2, 1936 to Katherine West and adopted by his Aunt and Uncle, Charlotte and Timothy Jackson. He was the oldest of two sons.
Jerome graduated from Lincoln High school in Milwaukee, Wi. He loved sports and was active in football and track. Shortly after graduating high school he married Frances Olivier. From this union 6 children were born, Sonia Jackson, Teri Towery(Eugene), Monica Brown, Jerome Jackson Jr.(Susan), Carla Jackson(Jetta) and Tamara Gayle(Paul). This union lasted 13 years.
In 1975 he met Sheri Wiesner. They married in 1980.
Jerome wore many hats in life. Sales was his passion, and he made an excellent living doing just that. He and Sheri had a comfortable life. They enjoyed traveling, gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. (July 4th bonfires, barbeque, and fireworks were everyone's favorite)
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents Katherine West, Charlotte and Timothy Jackson, and his brother Clifton Brooks. He is survived by his wife, Sheri Jackson, 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, who will greatly miss him.
A memorial service for Jerome will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave. Hartland, Wi. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
