Judith J. Fredman

June 20, 1942 — August 15, 2024

Nashotah

Judith “Judi” Joanne Fredman passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, at 82 years of age surrounded by her family at home overlooking the lake. She fought a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer and had her usual positive, optimistic, grateful attitude to the very end.

Judi is survived by her ever loving husband of 63 years, Tim. She was a loving and devoted mother to Tim Jr. (Patti), Dan, Susan Schneider (Matt) and loving mother-in-law to Libby Fredman. A “Mimi” of no comparison to grandchildren Alexina (Garrett) Gosh, Ben (Margaret) Fredman, Sam (Leighann) Fredman and Jorin (Lee) Mattox, Ty Schneider, George Fredman and Lucy Fredman. She was eternally grateful to be part of the lives of her great grandchildren: Max, Cecily, Gemma and Eliza Gosh and Abram Mattox. Sister of Larry (Myra) Olson, Susan Olson and the late Jeffery Olson.

In addition to giving her family first priority, she later worked with Tim at Fredman Bag and Fredman Leasing. Over the years she was an active member of the Schoolhouse Players, Kettle Moraine Garden Club, Chenequa Country Club, Beaver Lake Yacht Club and Pine Lake Yacht Club. Countless hours were spent volunteering at schools her children attended, Prevent Blindness, Camp Whitcomb/Mason and the Island School at Boca Grande Florida.

Judi’s athletic involvement began in early grade school and continued throughout her life. In addition to participation, she realized great enjoyment attending sporting events of children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A family tradition for Judi was to play basketball at Hartbrook Park with one of her grandsons on her birthday. Health did not stop her this year when she shot and scored on her 82nd birthday several weeks ago.

A celebration of Judi’s life will be held at Chenequa Country Club on September 26th from 4:00 to 6:30 pm with a brief tribute at approximately 5:30 pm.

Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made in Judi’s name to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and/or the MACC Fund.
