Kathleen "Kathy" Van Duser

Kathleen Van Duser was born in Milwaukee on February 19, 1955, and passed into eternal life
July 24, 2022.

Kathy was preceded in death by Kenneth “Ken” Gilbertson (father) and survived by Diane Gilbertson (mother),
siblings: Kenneth (Sharon) Gilbertson and family, Lori (Larry) Petree and family, Linda (John) Bizub and family,
Joe (Dawn) Gilbertson and family, children: Clare (Cory) Biely and Christian (Jillian Minjoe) Van Duser
and grandchildren: Coraline and Chloe Biely. The myriad of relatives and close friends Kathy had brought
immense joy to her life.

In life Kathleen was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, student,
teacher, and healer. She traveled extensively, read books with ferocity, and pursued her
education with zeal (Doctor of Ministry awarded 2019). She did all these things with an
intense love and passion rivaled by few. Kathy was at home in nature and held reverence for all
crystals, plants, and creatures. She lived to help others and found immense joy sharing her
positive energy with everyone she knew. The tenacious hope that Kathy maintained throughout
her life was a bright light to all who knew her. Kathy’s legacy of love lives on in her family and
friends.

Visitation will be held at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church in North Lake, WI from
10am-12pm Monday August 1st, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12pm. The family will proceed
to St. Clare Cemetery for a private burial and asks that you join them for a light lunch at St.
Teresa Parish Hall following the Mass.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the amazing team at ProHealth Angels
Grace Hospice. The loving care given to Kathy in her final days helped bring a peace and
comfort that cannot be measured.
