Kenneth E. Slater

September 16, 1958 — April 30, 2024

Kenneth Edward Slater, also known as "Kenny," was born on September 16, 1958, in Beloit, WI, and passed away on April 30, 2024, in Hartland, Wisconsin, at the age of 65. Kenny had a successful career as a Finance Manager at various automotive dealerships. He also worked in the grocery industry at Meijer and his final job, food service at Culver's. Kenny was loved by all his co-workers for his team enthusiasm.

Kenny was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School and furthered his education at UW Whitewater.

Outside of work, Kenny enjoyed playing golf, a good game of cards or Farkle, camping, sitting around the fire pit, and spending time with friends and family at his most enjoyed place he loved to be, Natures Villa. These times all involved a great joke, prank, or story and drinking beer. He will be remembered for his dedication to showing everyone a good time and his love for his family & friends.

Kenny is survived by his Loving Wife Kathleen of 28 years. Children: Jennifer (Justin) Urban and Joseph (Rose) Slater. He loved and accepted three stepdaughters: Victoria (Christopher) Kersten, Melissa McDonald, and Angela (Matt) Reich. He enjoyed entertaining and spending time with 9 grandchildren: Isla and Avery Urban, Tobias, Theodore, Thaddeus and Titus Slater, Bradley Kersten, Niko, and Caius Reich. He is further survived by his brothers David (JoEllen) Mosher, and Dan (Gail) Mosher. He is loved and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Slater, mother Ardath Slater, and sister Mardath (Jack) Hermanson.

A Celebration of Kenny’s Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Natures Villa in Helenville. A potluck reception will follow.
