Lance N. Kerwin

Lance Norbert Kerwin, age 78 of Hartland, WI peacefully passed away on January 1, 2021 surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer.

Lance was born on June 6, 1942 to Norbert and Lorraine Kerwin in Milwaukee WI. After graduating from Catholic Memorial High school, he started his 44-year career being a cost accountant with RTE/Cooper Power. In June of 1964 Lance married the love of his life, Mary Hinkley. They were able to spend 42 years enjoying life and raising a family of 5 children until her untimely death in 2006.

Lance was a highly active member of society enjoying many activities including hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling, golfing, dartball, baseball, cribbage, and volunteering for many organizations. He dedicated much of his time and energy to St. Charles Parish where he found his true passion in working with the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Surviving are his children Lane Kerwin, Teresa (Steve Flusche) Verity, Wendy (Alan) Piekarski, Shari (Darin) Litza, and Lana (Jim) Heaney, 12 Grandchildren, and 9 Great Grandchildren. Further surviving are his siblings Barry (Joanie) Kerwin, Tom (Sue) Kerwin, Geri (Rodger) Dunbar, other family members, neighbors and many friends. In addition to his wife, and parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson David Volska and his brother Greg.

Throughout his life Lance gave his time, energy, and financial support to those in need, opening his home to those in need of shelter and care. He had an original witty way to get his point across in a non-aggressive manner. He was loved by many and will be missed.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at St. Charles Parish 313 Circle Drive, Hartland with a visitation from 10:00 AM until a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Charles Parish in his name.
