Lois Regina O'Connell

Lois R. O'Connell (nee Connelly), 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 26, 2024. She is reunited with her one true love and beloved husband, Daniel O’Connell, DDS, and sweet daughter, Kathleen, who both preceded her in death. 

Treasured mother of Patrick (Beth), Daniel (Theresa), Mary (Tom) Hehr, Eileen (Flavio) McBride Ramirez, Loretta (Fran) O’Malley and Bridget (Tom) Halloran. She was cherished by her 17 grandchildren: Daniel and Colin O’Connell; Michael (Jen) O'Connell, Erin (Jarrod) Aydelott, and Maggie (Ailey) Adorjan; Kevin, Tommy, and Colleen Hehr; Daniel (Ana) and Brian McBride; Shannon (Jack) Baumann, Franny, and Brennan O’Malley; Patrick, Aidan, Kevin and Jack Halloran. Loving great grandma to Ainsley Aydelott and Danny O’Connell. 

Born on September 25, 1929 in Chicago, Lois was the eldest of the late Joseph and Evelyn Connelly’s eight children. She adored her siblings: the late John (Mae) Connelly; the late Evelyn ( Arthur James) Walz; the late Patricia (Thomas) Kearney; the late Carol (Jack) Hawley; the late James (Mary Lou) Connelly; the late Robert Connelly; the late Vivian (John) Capalbo. Dearest sister in law of the late Eileen (Charles) Byrne; the late John (Catherine) O’Connell; the late Frances (Mike) Draut. Her many nieces and nephews loved her. 

Special thanks to Edyta Lenik for her tender love and care in these last years. 

Our dear little Loie will be missed by all those touched by her grace, intelligence, kindness, and storytelling. 

Visitation in church will be held on Friday, January 3rd, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Location on O’Neil Road: St. Teresa of Calcutta Church, W302 N9583, O’Neil Road, Hartland, WI, 53029. NOTE: this is the Monches O’Neil Road church location, NOT Highway 83.
