On Wednesday, April 12, 2023 Lorraine Janet (Heintz) Connell Olson passed away at the age of 88.
She was born the second of five children on November 18, 1934 to Stella (Winkleman) and Hugo Heintz. She was raised in the Genesee area and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1953. She married Philip Olson on May 5, 1954. They later divorced, and on March 14, 1990 Lorraine married Ray Connell. Ray preceded her in death on February 26, 2004.
Lorraine is the loving mother of Scott and the late Jim Olson.
During Lorraine’s working career she was employed as a bookkeeper at Waukesha Foundry. She also worked at Halquist Stone, Hartland Plastics, and RTE/Cooper Power. She was fortunate enough to spend a year in France. Many friends and family will fondly remember Lorraine by her amusing nickname “Bubbles”. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as “Grandma Hot Tub”. She enjoyed being out with friends, dancing, playing dartball or gambling. She had an extensive owl collection and loved her blue Cadillac. She cherished spending time with her sons and their families. While she was relaxing you could find her rug hooking, crocheting, or knitting.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Scott (Gail) Olson; daughter-in-law, Kandi Olson; grandchildren, Jen, Jeff, Becky, Allen, Lexi, and Aaron; and great grandchild, Miles; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is further survived by stepchildren, Darryl (Karen) Connell, Dennis Connell, and Janet (Scott) Klingbel; and step-grandchildren, Shawn, Kevin, Molly, Erin, Jay & Brian.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ray and Phil; son, Jim; step-son Ted Connell; and siblings, David, Virginia (Ginny), Janice, and Joan.
The funeral service for Lorraine will be held at 5:00PM on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home, 170 Warren Ave, Hartland, WI. Family and friends may visit directly at the Funeral Home from 3:00PM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Hartland Village Cemetery, Hartland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Zion Lutheran Church, Hartland would be appreciated.
