Marianne, a devoted mother, meme, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, at 67 years young.
She was a woman of unwavering love, kindness, and dedication, always putting her family first. She lived life to the fullest and made every moment meaningful. Her joy for adventure, laughter, and fun shone through each day. But above all, her greatest happiness came from time spent with her four children and nine cherished grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Whether it was attending their milestones, sporting events, sharing stories, or simply being present, she made sure each one felt deeply loved.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching sunsets, taking peaceful walks, and making lasting memories on family vacations in Door County. The beauty of the water, the warmth of the sun, and the laughter of her loved ones made those trips especially meaningful to her.
Marianne will be remembered for her selflessness, her gentle spirit, and the way she made every person she met feel special. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to shine through her family and all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her children: Heather Ertl (Craig), Gina McFarlin (Bryan), Bryan Trapp (Caitlyn), and Kristie Schwarz (Mitchell); her grandchildren, Brooklyn and Gavin Ertl; Landon, Beckham, and Lawson McFarlin; Beau and Brynn Trapp; and Briley and Maya Schwarz; as well as her siblings, extended family, and dear friends. She is now reunited with her parents, Cornelius and Beatrice Martin, in eternal peace.
A celebration of her life will be held privately by the family.
…And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand.
