Marilyn A. Buffone

Marilyn A Buffone, 93, of Hartland, Wisconsin, died Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at her home. 

She graduated with a Medical Records degree from The College of St Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. She worked as a Medical Records Librarian for many years before moving to Illinois where she taught Elementary School. After moving back to Wisconsin, she worked as the Director of Religious Education at St Clare’s Catholic Church. After retirement, she continued to teach 4th Grade CCD for many years. 

Her passions were golf, tennis, bridge, anything sports-related, and her friends. If she was not playing, she was watching it on television. 

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Buffone Matt; son-in-law, Jamie Matt; grandson, Sean Matt; Granddaughter Brigette Staugaard; great-grandson, Jason Staugaard; and her sister Kay Schroeder of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. 

Services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024, at St Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church W314N7462 Hwy 83, North Lake, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 23, 2024, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
