Marina Grace Zimmermann

Hartland – Marina Grace Zimmermann, age 88 passed away due to complications of diabetes on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Aurora Hospital.
Marina was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 18, 1932 to the late Charles and Catherine Bruile. Proud alumnus, she was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1949. After graduation, Marina met the love of her life Jack Zimmermann. They were united in marriage on November 24, 1956. Jack and Marina celebrated 64 years of marriage. Marina was an incredible mother to four challenging boys. After spending many years raising her family, Marina started her longtime career at JCPenney’s. She loved her family more than anything in this world. She always enjoyed spending the weekends, holidays and all occasions with her family. She loved shopping, going out to eat, and of course sweets. Marina had a passion for life and feistiness that was far beyond her 5’2” stature. She loved traveling with Jack in retirement, visiting many destinations. She especially loved her annual trips to Las Vegas with her sister Sarah to test her gambling skills. She always seemed to come home with more than she went with, or that is at least what she told us. During her incredible life journey Marina was always there for everyone, she was a shining example of what a good person should be, devoting her life to God.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband Jack; their sons, Jeff (Beth); Bob (Chris); John; Chuck (Lisa); sister Sarah Nugent; adored grandchildren Luke, Kate, Zachary, Evan, Erin, Tyler; further survived by relatives and friends. Marina was greeted in heaven by her parents and other loved ones.
Visitation will be held at St. Charles Parish 313 Circle Dr., Hartland, WI on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 10:00 AM until a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. If desired memorials appreciated to the Alzheimer's Association.
