Mary Anne Doyle

Mary Anne Doyle (nee Millot) died on March 24, 2024 at the age of 91 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James G. Doyle, and her son Michael (Katie). She is survived by her children, Kevin, Kathleen (Chris), Eileen Buske, Stacy Cashman, James (Amy), and, grandchildren Sean, Connor, and Kelly Burns, Tim Buske, Andy and Madeline Cashman, Patrick and Brigid Doyle, Joe and Danny "Pudge" Doyle, and Jason Lawson.

Even in her later years, Mary was active, bright, and “a tough little bird.” She was an avid golfer until the age of 90, and had three holes-in-one to prove it (though she would never brag about that). When not on the course, she could often be found in the stands of a Milwaukee Brewers game or, at the very least, watching from home with her dogs.

When it wasn’t baseball season, Mary would cheer on her college basketball teams, especially Marquette. She loved to read, play dominos, do crosswords, and win at cards, especially against her late husband, Jim, during their daily 4:00pm sharp gin rummy games.

Above all, Mary loved her family and going out to dinner. While the family she leaves behind misses her dearly, they are comforted to know she is reunited with her husband, Jim, and her beloved son Michael in heaven.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 1 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Dr. Hartland. A visitation will be held at church from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Cancer Society or National Multiple Sclerosis Society are appreciated.
