Mary Ellen Frost Jorgensen Minich, left this earth to go to a joyful celebration on the other side of the River of God on October 22, 2023, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mary was born to Edward Eastman and Jane Louise (née Hanson) Frost on September 8, 1937, and married Arnold Charles Jorgensen on November 2, 1957. They raised their family in Hartland where Mary was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church for more than 60 years. Mary was a homemaker, mother, and cared for other children until her youngest started school; then she started driving school bus and was affectionately known as Mrs. Mary Bus Driver. She married Sam Minich on January 10, 1993. Mary was an avid seamstress, making clothes for her children and later in life loved making quilts. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and donated many of her creations to charities.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, sister Jacquelyn Katherine Kroening, niece Tammy Marie, husband, Sam Minich, son-in-law Robert Deist and grandson Max Sweeting.
Mary is survived by her children, Terri Deist grandson Ben (Melissa) great grandsons Paxton and Xander; Mark (Patti) Jorgensen grandson Mark David great granddaughter Kadance, granddaughter Ashley (Tyler) Olson and great grandchildren Jocilynn and Wyatt; Lisa (David) Sweeting; Scott (Tracey) Jorgensen grandsons Kyle and Kirk, great grandchildren Pierce, Oliver, Everly, Elena, Aubrey, Emrik, Sylvia, Theodrik; Todd (Pam) Jorgensen granddaughters Taylor, Carysa and Madison; Dawn (Tim) Bell grandchildren Brady, Blake and Brooke.
Services will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
