Mary Jane Griffin

Mary Jane Griffin of Oconomowoc Wisconsin passed away peacefully at the age of eighty-seven on October 20th, 2024, at Angel's Grace hospice in Oconomowoc. She was surrounded by loved ones at Angel’s Grace and had the opportunity to talk with her family and friends before she passed away. 

Mary Jane held many titles, Realtor, Bed and Breakfast owner, and as a Director where she was devoted to helping others through their treatment and sobriety. She was known as Mary Jane, Jane, Grandma, Nanny Jane, Grandma Jane, and Gigi. She was a devoted Sister, Aunt, Wife, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and as Friend to many. She valued every relationship throughout her life and loved her Family deeply. She also cared for, mentored and counseled many women in her life. She was admired and respected in the community, by her family and her many friends. Everyone she met loved her. Her beautiful smile spread a light in our world. 

Mary Jane was fearless, adventurous, loved life and especially family gatherings. She loved her dogs and enjoyed spending time and her walks with them. She loved nature hikes, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and she was always game for any Adventure. She lived in many interesting places and was never afraid to try something new. 

Mary Jane had six children, sons in laws and daughter in laws. eleven grandchildren, granddaughter-in-laws, and grandson in laws. And five great-grandchildren. She had countless friends and extended family. 

We offer a special Thanks to Angel's Grace for the Compassionate Care and Kindness to Mary Jane and her family through our last days with her here. 

We will always miss you, Mom. Our hearts are heavy, but we know you are smiling down on us. Until we meet again. 

As a lover of animals, the family will be making a memorial contribution in Mary Jane’s name to the Human Society. Contributions can be mailed to 522 Penbrook Way, Hartland, WI 53029. 

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
