Matthew W. Bratberg

Matthew William Bratberg, 44 of Hartland, WI passed away August 7, 2024.

Matthew was born on March 26, 1980, the beloved son of Roger Bratberg and Sue and Kevin Winkler. Loving brother of Katie Bratberg, Hannah Winkler and Samantha Winkler. Cherished uncle of Annika Griesemer. Further loved by many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Burt Bratberg, Betty Jacob and Elaine and Jerry Winkler

After graduating from Arrowhead High School in 1998 Matt enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in the Iraqi War. He enjoyed serving his country for 11 years.

After returning from active duty Matthew graduated from Waukesha County Technical College with a degree in Applied Science and then attended Milwaukee Area Technical College graduating with a degree in Biomedical Technology.

Matthew was employed with Trimedx and worked in the Biomedical department at St Joseph's and St Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. Our family would like to extend our thanks to Trimedx for their thoughtful caring of Matthew.

Matthew loved his family and was happiest attending sporting events. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Celebration of Matthew's life will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Evert-Luko Funeral Home. 170 Warren Avenue, Hartland, WI. Visitation from 10am-12pm with full military honors and service at 12pm. Reception will follow service at American Legion-294, 231 Goodwin Avenue, Hartland WI. To honor Matt's love of sports we invite and encourage all who attend Matt's service to wear your favorite sports jersey/regalia (except the Bears!)
