Nicholas Vans

Nicholas Vans, 90, of Mequon, Wisconsin, passed away on July 19, 2024.  He was born January 18, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James and Helen (Petros) Vans.

Nicholas is survived by his children: Deborah Archilletti of Delafield, Wisconsin, Victoria Vans - (the late Mark) Herring of Graford, Texas, and Sandra (Michael) Lehman of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; grandchildren: Alexander Archilletti, Amanda (Johnathan) Otto, Alison Lehman, Lauren Lehman, and Rhaea Lehman.  He is further survived by great-grandchildren: Thienracha Weeks, Quora Otto, Olivia Otto, and Saoirse Otto; and step-sister, Deanne Buphys of Athens, Greece.  

Nicholas is preceded in death by wife, Mildred; son, Nicholas II; sister, Penelope Damascus; grandmother, Dora Petros, and parents.

Nicholas served in the United States Army. He worked for Continental Can Company until his retirement.  

A private Orthodox Christian Committal Service and Burial took place at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin, Wisconsin.
