Rosa Collins

Rosa Collins, of Hartland WI, passed away on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at the age of 86.

Rosa was born in Prussia, now known as Germany, on April 23rd, 1935 to Nikodemus and Elisabeth Dietrich. After attending school in Germany and persevering through World War II, Rosa and her family came to the USA in 1952 and settled in North Dakota.

From her first marriage, Rosa had three children: Linda, Cathy, and Ed. It wasn’t until years later when she met the love of her life, Paul Collins. Paul entered the marriage with his children: Mark, Mike, and Dan, Kathleen and Dottie.
Through the years Rosa and her family resided not only in Wisconsin, but also in California and Colorado.

Rosa was predeceased by her husband Paul, her daughter Cathy, her grandson Joshua, her sister Pat, her brother Leo, and her parents. She is survived by her children: Linda, Ed, Mark, Mike, Dan (Diane), Kathleen, and Dottie, along with her several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

To know Rosa was to know strength, determination, and resilience. Behind her playful and fisty personality, also resided a woman who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends with devoted, empathetic love.

In lieu of a service, Rosa has requested a celebration of life with her favorite music playing. Invitations will be sent at a later date.
