Sally Ann Creegan

January 30, 1933 — August 21, 2023

Sally Ann Creegan (née Barlow) age 90 of Hartland, WI passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023. Sally was born at home in New London, WI on January 30, 1933. She was placed in a shoebox and placed on the lid of the stove to stay warm. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.

Sally is survived by sons, Michael (Diane), Fr. Kevin (Diocese of Peoria), and Patrick (Susan); 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister Pat (Neil) Baerwald, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Sally is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Ken; mother, Ophelia Miranda Barlow (née Krueger); and father, Aloysius L. Barlow.

Sally was a Post Partum, New Born Nursery and Labor and Delivery nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee for 29 years. She taught Natural Childbirth classes as well as being a VNA Nurse taking care of high-risk antenatal patients evaluating new mothers and infants and initiating Home Photo Therapy. She also did mother-baby wellness visits for many years.

She was a die-hard 19th Century Antique lover. She loved to be with her family and could camp in the woods with the best of them. It’s no secret she loved being a grandmother and everyone waited for their turn to stay over at Nana’s house.

Sally is finally at home with Jesus and his mother. She was a devoted Catholic and practiced her faith through her love for others. She had a special affection for the Blessed Mother and with the assistance of the Sisters of Schoenstatt practiced her faith daily. Nothing fancy, just the tasks of the day done well. She was a faithful member of the Schoenstatt Mother’s League and joined the sisters daily for Holy Mass and prayed during Adoration Hour in the Shrine.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 29 August at 11:00 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Drive, Hartland. Burial St. Charles Cemetery. Visitation 10 am until the time of the Mass.

Please, no flowers, but Masses and prayers will be gratefully appreciated.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Aurora at Home Hospice and Palliative Care; the hospice nurses were angels in disguise. Thank you! Thank you! The family would also like to thank Dr. Joseph Schneider for his kind attention and help.
