Stephen John Thompson, a longtime Waukesha, WI resident passed on to eternal life unexpectedly after an automobile accident Saturday September 12, 2020 at the age of 50.
Steve was preceded in eternal life by his father Gerald Thompson and his mother Lois Meyers. He will be dearly missed by his sister Julia (Shannon) Shaw of Wales, WI, and his brother Matthew (Tracy) Thompson of Oconomowoc, WI. Nieces Brittany, Caitlin, Emily, and Sydney. As well as his one and only nephew Evan. Steve is further survived by loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins spread about the country.
Steve was a kind and gentle hearted man who was fond of traveling. He was known to venture about locally and yet other times he went cross country. He got around so much that he often surprised people when he turned up in a place which was out of the ordinary for him to be or to later learn where he just returned from. Steve could often be found enjoying the company of family and friends. No matter where his adventures led him, he always returned to the ones he loved. Steve reserved a special place in his heart for wildlife. This was especially true for Giant Pandas. He made efforts to visit the zoos which housed Pandas as often as he could. He also enjoyed streaming live video feeds of them. While we will miss Steve, we will always cherish the memories of him that will live on in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Evert-Luko Funeral Home followed by a reception. Visitation from 10:000 AM until the time of Services.
Steve’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff and community at Friendships Unlimited for the many years of friendship and support throughout the years to Steve and to his family at the abrupt end of his life.
