Susan Jean Rasmussen

July 30, 1955 — August 1, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of Susan Jean Rasmussen, of North Lake, Wisconsin. Susan passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on August 1st, 2023 at the age of 68.


Susan was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on July 30th, 1955 to the late Ethel (Floyd Jr.) Jacobs and Russell (Rocchina) Martocci Sr.


Susan is survived by her loving husband, John Rasmussen, and three children, Tyler (Trisha) Rasmussen, Meghan (Bryan) Rasmussen, and Mitch (Chelsey) Rasmussen, and her cherished grandchildren Jackson, Jameson, Wryker, and Logan. Her brothers, Michael (Elizabeth) Martocci, Russell Martocci Jr., David (Leslie) Jacobs, and Richard (Paulette) Jacobs, and sister, Barbara (Ken) Jacobs. Susan is further survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Katherine, Shannon, Benjamin, Samuel, Michael, Joshua (Samantha), Ben, Adam (Kelly), Laura, Julias, Isayah, Lamont, Jeff (Jazmine), Brittnee, Oakland, Faith, and Dan (Victor).


Susan is fondly remembered for her many years as a Girl Scout Leader, her active involvement in the North Lake School Board, and her dedicated service as a Firefighter/EMT with The Stone Bank Fire Department for 25 years.


Her fire for life is kept alive through her best friends, The Dart Tarts, and many more people that cherished and loved the friendship they shared.


A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 4:00 p.m. at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, W314 N7462 WI-83, Hartland, WI 53029. Family and friends are invited to visit directly at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Final rest will be at St. Clare cemetery, North Lake.


In lieu of flowers, memorials in Susan’s name are appreciated to the LaBahn Pancreatic Cancer Program at the Medical College of Wisconsin www.mcw.edu.
