      Esther Sanchez Trujillo Panawash, was born in Dawson, NM on March 29, 1923, she left this world on March 22, 2019.  She was the daughter of Emilio and Eloisa Trujillo of Pueblo, CO. 

     Esther became Rosie the Riveter at Lockheed Corporation in CA.  She met John H. Panawash, who was stationed at McCook  Army Air Field  in Nebraska, on a Greyhound bus, as she was on her way home to visit her family in CO.  They fell in love and after WWII, they married and moved to Waukesha, WI where they raised their family.


Esther was very happy to reconnect with her sister, Cecelia Lopez of CA later in life after her children were on their own.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ernest and Rudolph Trujillo and her sister, Cecelia Trujillo Lopez.  Her former husband, John H Panawash and her son, John R Panawash.  Esther is survived by her children, Peggie (Lee) Oettinger, Deanna (Thomas) Hess, Pamela (Charles) Strickland and Stephen Panawash.  Also survived by her grandchilden, Kyle, Marnie, Maria, Chandra, Danielle, Michael, Joseph and Stephanie, 19 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Aunt Esther loved her nieces and nephews.  Mom was a woman with a tremendous amount of resilience and lived her life with love and strength. She was surrounded by her family both in person and in spirit.  Her life is cherished, and will be remembered by all. 

Be at peace Mom, and enjoy your family in Heaven.  They are waiting to love and hug you again.  A celebration of this wonderful mother's life will be at a later date on a warm, sunny day in  Wisconsin. Hasta la Vista Mamacita, you will be missed, hasta que nos encontremos de nuevo!
