Carl John Preisler, a faithful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed peacefully at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc on Friday, May 24, 2019 at the age of 80.
Carl proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps before returning to Wisconsin and the Hartland area where he lived most of his life and raised his family. He was a successful business owner, operating several small businesses, most recently CJ’s Daybreak convenience store in North Lake for 14 years before retiring 2009. Carl was involved in the community, serving as a North Lake Elementary school board member, a little league coach, and a volunteer at St. Teresa of Calcutta (formerly St. Clare) Church in North Lake.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Patricia; his son Chris (Dawn), and grandchildren Rebecca, Jessica, and Sara: son Chad (Susanne), and grandchildren, Kelsey, Kayla, and Nolan; his brother Stephen “Steve”; his sister Mary Ann (Walter “Skip”) Nelson; sister-in-law Mary; He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Leona Preisler; his brother Roger; and sister-in-law Diane.
The family wishes to extend a warm, heartfelt thank you to all of the Angels Grace Hospice staff and nurses who were involved in the loving care Carl received in his final days.
