  Thomas F. Tiefenthaler, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2019. 

Survived by his loving wife Susan (nee Farmer) Tiefenthaler, his son Thomas (Julia Pelchy) Tiefenthaler, his daughter Cindy (Thomas) Wolf and grandchildren Stephen (Jessica) Tiefenthaler, David (Lisa) Tiefenthaler, Allison (Guy Peyrot) Tiefenthaler, Patrick (Naomi) Wolf, Meghan Wolf, Carlee Wolf, Christopher Lefevre and Casandra Lefevre. He is further survived by great grandchildren Nicholas, Lily and Joseph Tiefenthaler, Quinn and Alexandra Peyrot, Benjamin and Jackson Tiefenthaler and Colin, Brady and Tyler Wolf, and also by his sister Janet (Bernard Carroll) and many dear friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Eugene & Camilla Tiefenthaler, his brothers Gene and Jim, his sister Clair, his first wife Doris and his daughter Mary.

Tom was known for his love of singing and his favorite jokes. He served in the Navy at the end of WWII. As a youth he played catcher on a minor league baseball team, later coaching his son’s team. He worked as a salesman for industrial handling materials and was especially fond of cold calls. After retirement his part time retirement included delivering pizzas and flowers, security and maintenance. He loved growing vegetables, especially scouring the seed catalogs, preparing the soil and planting. The rest was up to nature or others! He was an active volunteer for Shorehaven’s Mobile Meals and St. Vincent de Paul at St. Joan of Arc.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 120 Nashotah Road, Nashotah. Visitation at church from 10:30 AM until the time of Mass. Final rest will be in St. Joan of Arc Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be given to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Joan of Arc.
